One of the best options for vegan pizza in Milwaukee is Classic Slice. It could be better: they only have 3 vegan pizza options on their menu (could be expanded, I think) and they offer vegan cheese, but a> it’s not on their menu and b> it’s Follow Your Heart, which isn’t that great of a vegan cheese, in my opinion.
Beggars can’t be choosers, though! The 3 vegan pizzas they have on their menu are still delicious. This is the Super Veggie, which we usually order with tomatoes instead of broccoli. Nothing against broccoli, but it tastes weird on this pizza. The other vegan pizzas are the Mediterranean and the Anne Curry, which are both interesting and delicious pizzas. You can also get vegan calzones, but I have yet to order one of those. You could also make up your own vegan pizza, but it’s expensive to add a bunch of toppings when compared to buying a speciality pizza.
The dough and sauce at Classic Slice are both very good, which is one of the reasons Classic Slice is one of my favorite vegan-friendly pizzerias in town. Their breadsticks are basically just the pizza down with some olive oil, garlic and some seasoning. Simple, but effective.
All-in-all, I would recommend Classic Slice to visiting vegans, but only until someone opens an all-vegan pizzeria or at least one with more vegan options and/or better vegan cheese.
